.01・Welcome! Stark here, she/her pronouns, though I’m not picky at all since I typically write male muses and I’ll answer to their names/pronouns just fine. I’m 30+ and I’ve been rping since I was 11, so I’ve been around the block a time or two and I’m real low-drama. I work full-time, so I can be low to moderate activity, but I’m always around to chat - discord upon request.

.02・I don't follow for follow and I'm mutuals only. If I follow you, it means I've read your rules and most if not all of your info on your blog (sometimes I skim if I'm low concentration that day), and it means that I'm interested in writing with you. This is permission to hit me up with asks or send me an IM! I like to keep a clean dash, so I will unfollow sometimes if there's excess OOC chatter being posted, if we haven't interacted after a long period and/or if I come to the conclusion that perhaps our writing wouldn't mesh.

.03・I keep a permanent starter call and sometimes post them and open starters just for funsies. If you don't see a starter call or open that you'd like, memes are honestly the best way to get my attention and get something started with me! I make it a point to post them consistently into my queue, and I always turn asks into threads unless you request otherwise or we do a lot of them, in which case I'll just pick a few of them instead of all. You're welcome, of course, to do the same with any I send! My one request is that you specify who you're interested in of mine (and yours if you're a multi), even if it's just narrowing it down to a few options. If you don't at least give me an idea of who you'd like, I'll probably delete the ask to avoid getting hung up on the decision.

.04・I never really practiced mains and exclusives officially before, but let's be real, we all have our favorites so please see my mains list. For me, mains come about as very good friends of mine ooc with heavily plotted and beloved characters and stories. Following my blog means you'll see a lot of those people, but unless stated otherwise, seeing me writing with or plotting with another version of your character doesn't mean I won't write/plot with yours, so hit me up! Different interactions for different versions!

.05・Plotting is great! Not everyone is into it, and I certainly won't force it on anyone, but my IMs and discord are available for plotting if that's what you're into. In the same token, I'll gladly talk about my characters if you'd like more information about them and how I play them, or if you wanna talk about yours! If you're a multi, I still request that you come to me with a few characters you're interested in, if not a full idea. I don't mind talking things through, but when you narrow down a list to a few muses you're most excited for, it really helps me get a feel for what kind of story you're looking for and where to go with ideas.

.06・I don't mind if you format or don't, but I only use basic aesthetic formatting myself - small text, icons and a little separator bar in most posts, and I have some banners for asks and the like. If you format to the point that your responses are difficult for me to read, that's another story, but I'm usually not too concerned with it.

.07・I ship chemistry, which generally means that I need time playing back and forth to build up some rapport before getting involved in a ship, so I'd prefer it if you didn't try to dive right into something before I'm ready. I like shipping, I love all kinds of relationships (platonic included) and I'll talk out pre-existing relationships so that we don't have to start from scratch on friendships, but it throws me off if our interactions IC go straight to dating when we barely know each other.

.08・I personally don't have much in the way of triggers outside of the obvious content most of us don't want to see - racism, incest, pedophilia, homophobia, transphobia, animal abuse and probably others I'm forgetting but would certainly notice on sight. I don't ask people to tag that kind of stuff, I just unfollow, so probably best not to bother here if you're into that. I don't generally post much in the way of triggering content, but let me know if you see something and I'll tag things as: tw trigger . I don't tag blood or violence as a trigger if it's minor/genre-appropriate.

Lean and highly athletic, he’s strong and all muscle as a result of the fighting and acrobatics he performs on his ‘night shift’ roaming Hell’s Kitchen.SCARS. Matt has plenty of scars to choose from, with the most notable being a few long lines across his back and upper chest, as well as another lower on his side from a stab wound. He discovered only recently that his mother was still alive and living as a nun in the orphanage he grew up in.EDUCATION. Catholic school until he moved on to college, studying Law at Columbia University in NYC.NOTABLE SKILLS. Trained in the use of his senses and an intense mixture of martial arts, Matt is a force to be reckoned with despite his handicap, and experience has only further honed his fighting and acrobatic skills. While the physical is the easiest to take note of, his mental skills are no joke, and he’s a very intelligent man.LANGUAGES. English and near fluent in Spanish.ABILITIES. Matt's remaining four senses are enhanced enough after the accident that took his sight that he's learned how to put together a mental picture of his surroundings, which he's dubbed his radar sense, or 'World on Fire'. His hearing is arguably the one he uses most aggressively, he can identify individuals based on their heartbeats, and while it's an inexact science, he can tell with shocking accuracy whether someone is lying based on changes in their heartrate. His other senses are similarly scoped, though his sense of smell is not nearly as trained as his ears are; he could track someone by scent alone for days, if he had to, but he is in no way the sharpest nose around.There's another ability that he was taught and practiced well over time, though if he were asked the details, he wouldn't necessarily be able to explain it. Stick showed him a meditative state to push his body to heal itself, and while it doesn't match up to the superhuman healing factors running around in some heroes, it keeps him going far more often than he'd like to admit to anyone who cares about him.}

_{MENTAL. Matt has a history of feelings of isolation and abandonment, and he struggles with depression fairly often. He’s the sort to put on a good face about it, but he takes on too much near constantly, and it takes its toll on his emotional state as he gets more and more overwhelmed. He takes far too much onto his own shoulders, and he judges himself more harshly than the rest of the world, exacerbating whatever emotional struggles he’s currently dealing with at the time and adding onto the feeling of being overwhelmed, and his own self-care habits aren’t helpful in those periods. He spirals, and while it’s not terribly common, he’s had a self-destructive stretch before, which he overcame due to a feeling of responsibility to remove threats that had arisen. On a regular basis, all of this is mild and easy for him to push past and pretend isn’t an issue, but at his worst, it becomes much more serious.PHYSICAL. Despite being in fantastic physical shape, Matt’s self-care habits leave something to be desired. His fitness level is based on the nights he spends pushing himself to his limits, and it’s been a struggle to seek out some balance between the two most important aspects of his life. Eating and sleeping more consistently and regularly would put him in much better health, and while he’s learning to take nights off and take slightly better care of himself, he’s still known to lose track of meal times and to put off sleeping when he feels that there’s no time and he’s needed elsewhere.FEARS. While Daredevil is considered by the media and others to be the Man Without Fear, it’s because he doesn’t fear many of the things most people do. He’ll jump off of buildings without knowing where he’s going to land, take on impossible odds and risk his life without hesitation, but those are all symptoms of his actual fear – that he’ll let down the people who depend on him, or who simply can’t defend themselves. Not meeting his own standards fits into it, because it’s others who suffer when he fails. Semi-related, he also fears the loss of his heightened senses, as that's how he's able to be who he is and do the things he does.EYESIGHT. Matt has been completely blind since he was nine years old after an accident involving a truck and a chemical spill. His other senses are intensely enhanced post-accident.DRUG USE. Given the strength of his remaining four senses, it’s already a danger that he’ll become overwhelmed by external stimuli, so the addition of drugs could potentially wreck him and has kept him from experimenting.ALCOHOL USE. Despite the strength of his remaining four senses, he’s decided that experimenting with alcohol is okay, and part of that might be the psychological aspect of his memories of his father drinking when he was a kid. Depending on his state of mind, this can still become overwhelming, but he seems to think it numbs him somewhat to the sensory input.DIET. When he remembers to eat regularly, it’s a combination of coffee and takeout from specific places that he likes, though he’s perfectly capable of cooking and tends to do fairly well with it. Given how acute his senses of taste and smell are, he tends towards more natural ingredients and less in the way of chemical additives.}⎯⎯ ✞ ⎯⎯.04 PERSONALITY
